After having collaborated on various projects, the musicians of the Kristen Cornwell Trio came together for the first time in 2014. Over the following years a series of concerts followed and in late 2017 they entered the studio to record an album. For this concert the trio primarily performs the repertoire from Spoonful – Back to the Blues. This album is a tribute to the essence of the blues, compiled and distilled from very diverse sources. Songs by Buffalo Springfield and Willie Dixon, together with traditional folk songs that fit together seamlessly, are performed in this intimate and expressive lineup. With the versatile guitarist Patrick Deltenre, the experienced double bassist Christophe Devisscher and the dazzling voice of Kristen Cornwell united in a trio, these musical jacks-of-all-trades deliver a full spoonful of musical medicine.

Après avoir collaboré sur divers projets, les musiciens du Kristen Cornwell Trio se sont réunis pour la première fois en 2014. Les années suivantes ont été marquées par une série de concerts, et fin 2017, ils sont entrés en studio pour enregistrer un album. Pour ce concert, le trio interprète principalement le répertoire de Spoonful – Back to the Blues. Cet album est un hommage à l’essence même du blues, compilé et distillé à partir de sources très diverses. Des chansons de Buffalo Springfield et Willie Dixon, ainsi que des morceaux folk traditionnels s’harmonisant parfaitement, sont interprétés dans cette formation intimiste et expressive.
